Nov. 5-7th, 2004 in Shelburne, VT
Join Nancy Edmunds and Donna Bjerke for a weekend of learning and fun in the
beautiful atmosphere of the casually, elegant Heart of the Village Inn.
Donna & Nancy have been creating bears over 14 years each. They have evolved
with very different styles, but still start with the same basic pattern.
Students will learn how to make a 12" adult mohair collectable, with both
artists' influences. The differences between mohair and synthetic materials,
proper pattern layouts, cutting, pinning, sewing, turning, jointing, stuffing
and facial feature possibilities will be covered. The teddy bear pieces will be
pre machine sewn. Students will have to know basic hand sewing. All the
materials will be supplied. There will be many mohair choices and each
bear is a guaranteed one of a kind creation.
